Doctors’ Hospital of Michigan (DHM), www.dhofm.com, opened in 2008 as Michigan’s first physician-owned acute-care, for-profit hospital with a unified mission to deliver the highest quality, cost-effective, and compassionate healthcare in northern Oakland County. The hospital is owned by a consortium of physicians who have 60% ownership and by McLaren Health Care Corporation based out of Flint, MI., which has a 35% ownership. DHM is home to a variety of health-related services including: Acute Medical Surgery, Cardiac Cath Lab, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Endoscopy, Behavioral Medicine, Family Medicine Center & Family Medicine Residency program, Emergency Centers (Pontiac and Waterford), and several out-patient clinics in Waterford, MI, and Clarkston, MI. In addition, DHM is home to Euro-Peds (www.europeds.org), the first hospital-based Intensive Pediatric Physical Therapy program in North America for the treatment of children with cerebral palsy.
